Drew's Eye

On Friday morning, Drew shimmied up the door post into the kitchen Spiderman style. I acknowledged his climbing prowess, said I needed to go through and ducked under him into the kitchen.
Apparently, he thought I was going to stop (not sure why) and wanted to drop down onto my shoulders when I was underneath him. Didn't happen.
Instead, he did a face plant right onto the tile floor, right on his eye.

Never seen a finer shiner

Saturday, June 11, 2005

Today:
Julie and Ruth are on a mother/daughter trip until tonight.
Drew got a serious shiner on his right eye yesterday morning (and I can't find the digital camera to record it).
I bought Cal the computer Risk game, which could prove to be a bad move.
I'm sealing the porch today.
Sam and Laura cooked a fabulous breakfast this morning.
Anna told us today that when she grows up she wants to be a "doctor, a dinasaur rex and a dog."
The Cards play the Yanks at 2pm.
I think we're putting up tents in the lawn today, and I'm glad we didn't go camping last night (it rained).

This pole in Nebrasksa was 80 feet in the air and I had to turn around once I had climbed it. I missed the bar (and lived).
